Just wanted to get a quick blog post in tonight, and thought I would talk about some stuff I have been doing lately. I have been getting into a couple affiliate verticals other than poker lately, and they are starting to pay off.
It took me a while, but I finally starting to see some income from my casino sites. I am to blame for the length it took to see the revenue, as I took my time with my casino sites – and I’m still not even happy with where I’m at. I have a few small sites, such as Play Roulette, that target some good casino terms and once I can get them higher in the SERPs I should see some money roll in.
I got going with sports betting stuff maybe a year or more ago but didn’t really get much done with it until the past 9 moths. Sports is really my passion, a lot more so than poker for sure, so it is easier doing writing and that sort of stuff for the websites. Recently my Sports Betting portal got a nice kick from Google and I have been seeing some good sign ups this month. I decided I needed help to write the amount of articles I wanted publish weekly with the NFL and College football season, so I am paying a couple friends to help write. I am also trying out targeting a little mini niche in sports with my Bet World Cup 2010 soccer site. I plan for it to be about 10-20 pages targeting World Cup betting terms. Should be interesting to see if I can rank for the terms, and how well they do if I end up ranking.
I put up some workout supplement sites this summer that I really need to focus on converting my visitors better. The last month I have seen some really good traffic to my Best NO Supplement workout supplement site but haven’t been getting too many sales. Any ideas on what I can do better to get more sales? I think more calls to action are needed and maybe a big button above the fold.
I will still be plugging away at my poker affiliate sites of course, but over the next couple months I really want to get my casino and sports betting affiliate earnings level to my poker earnings.
I would be interested to hear what other markets you poker affiliates are expanding into…
