Today I just finished my third week of College in my first year and wanted to do a little blog post on my choice to go back to school.

Brief Background – Went to University when I was 19.  Learned how to create websites there and ended up in the poker affiliate business.  I didn’t enjoy University and dropped out for the year to focus on affiliating.  I started making some decent money through affiliate programs in my year off.  Made a post about “Going Back To School” at PAL.

That bring me to where I am today.  At 21 I decided to go to a college here in my home town studying Business Marketing.  In Canada colleges are a little more focused or practical than Universities and generally are 2 or 3 year programs, where Universities are 3 or 4.

What made me make the choice to go back to college? A few different things influenced me to go back.  First, I actually enjoy learning some general things about businesses and even in a short three weeks have learned some stuff that have opened my eyes.  Another was the social aspect of college – it is really easy to meet hot girls people at college.  My parents actually had an influence in me going back as well.  Like most parents they probably don’t understand the opputunites today in internet marketing and wanted me to go back.

Did I make the right decision? I’m really not too sure yet after only three weeks (I will have to blog about it after the years over).  But so far I have learned some stuff that is actual useful and more importantly ;) I have met some hot chicks.  Although I have still been putting in some decent hours into my internet business I wish I could put in more, as I really want to hit my goal of $100,000+ next year.  I am at a level now where I can start to outsource some stuff, so I should be able to balance school with my work and still end up where I want to be…. time will tell.

What do you think?… Did you complete college or not? – and looking back do you like your decision?

Hey Kevin, I completed college and earned my B.A. in Business Management. Although I don’t use it now, and doubt I ever will in the future, I still don’t regret the experience.

I commend you for being able to go to school and run a successful internet business all at the same time. At 21, why not be in school and have the college experience? Good luck this year!

The one thing I have regretted for most of my life was not going to collage. Had three scholarships, and turned them all down…not too smart.

A person can never learn too much.I commend you as well and good luck in all your studies.

Congratulations on your decision to go back to college. I’ve done pretty well in the Internet marketing space, but I feel like my life as a whole is a lot richer because of my so-called unrelated college degree. (I majored in Literature.) Enjoy the hot women for me.

I just went back to college at the age of 36! Taking weekend and evening courses in web design and digital design. Completed 2 courses so far. If I could, I would keep going to school for as long as I am physically able. It is worth while, and fun…and makes elders like me feel young again!

Good luck Kev!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I’m enjoying the experience, and am glad I made the choice so far.

For what it’s worth, I think you’ve made the right decision in going back – if only to enjoy the college lifestyle. I think you pick up a lot of useful things at college and most of that is outside of the class room.

Enjoy the hot women ;)
