Today (well tomorrow because I’m writing this just after midnight) is my birthday… 22nd!
I feel like 22 is pretty much the perfect age and I don’t want to get much older haha… just felt like making a quick post because I’m bored and feel like dropping a link to my newer poker site
Tomorrow during the day I have class and me and some buddies are going to have some beers at the pub on campus during the afternoon. Heading out for dinner with my dad and his wife afterward and then some people are coming over to my new place before heading downtown for the night. The nightclubs here are packed lately because university and college just started last week, but that means a ton of great looking women
. I am trying to get a booth and some bottles and just let loose and have some fun.. Thursday will be rough but I will definitely not being doing any work or going to school.
Anyways just wanted to let any of the blog readers know I am accepting articles for my Poker Download site. As long as the topic isn’t written about already and it is a pretty generic topic I am probably open to posting an article about it with a link back to your (quality) site! hit me up via MSN Skype or PAL if you are interested in getting something up… I probably won’t be posting more articles until Friday or Monday. This is a good chance for anyone with a poker site, cheers!
Again I forgot to make a post here at the start of December with my December goals, but I will try and remember for January (after my 2010 goals post). December is awesome for me as I just finished school yesterday and am free for 27 days! This should give me a lot of time to act like I’m full time again, and I will be busting my ass for the most part.
I started a thread over at PAL titled “Your 2009 Review” where I basically asked everyone to post their accomplishments from 2009, as well as gave my own. I wanted to make a quick blog post over here to expand on my accomplishments from 2009…
Hit my income goal for the year – At the start of year I wrote down a number that I wanted to hit for the year. The number was more than double what I made in 2008 (my first year of affiliating). I ended up hitting that number by the end of November and am pretty proud, but now I look to at least double that amount again in 2010 to be satisfied.
Expanded into sports betting, casino, and bingo – In the first half of the year it was really shitty for me. I had built a couple sites but didn’t really know what I was doing yet. I finally got things rolling in the second half of 2009 and currently about half of my income is from these three streams.
4 or 5 personal best months – One of the best feelings is having a big month income wise. Throughout 2009 I had about 4 or 5 months that were my personal best months, and it is an awesome feeling when you hit one. I try not to pay attention too much on how much I’m making on the month because I’ve had times where I was on pace for a huge month and then things slow down completely.
Started capturing visitors e-mails – One thing that a lot of poker affiliates don’t seem to do is capture e-mails. Many internet marketing experts talk about how important this is, so I decided I needed to do it. I learnt how to use Aweber and started implementing it with my sports betting site. In early 2010 I am going to look to capture e-mails for poker as well.
Those were my four proud accomplishments of 2009 for my affiliating business. Things that I wish I did in 2009 include work even harder, epxand into other niches that I had planned to, and I wish I did more with my casino stuff at the start of the year.
I should have another post before xmas, but just in case .. Have a Merry Christmas!!

So I made it back from Vegas alive last Tuesday, but was too drained to write a trip report post until now :p
On Friday we headed to a really nice hotel in the Detroit airport to sleep before we left early the next morning. A few casual beers with a late dinner ended up being a $300 tab of drinks with a couple people we met including a smoking hot Cali chick! On little sleep we headed for the flight at 7am, and arrived in Vegas around 10am local time. Got to the Flamingo, got settled into our room and then headed downstairs to check the hotel out and made a couple sports bets and roulette bets. We grabbed a couple drinks and headed out on the strip to check things out (I absolutely love how you can walk around the streets and into all the casinos with drinks in your hand). We asked around what clubs were good for that night and got recommended to LAX in Luxor. That night we hit up the Hard Rock bar for a bit then over to LAX – it ended up being a great night.
The next day was Sunday football which called for a lot of sports betting. Didn’t do too well on Sunday but luckily I wasn’t laying down too much (saving it for my Steelers). Had drinks by the pool during the day, hit up a restaurant in the hotel for dinner and we had a quick nap and were ready for round 2. That night we started off getting free beers while playing roulette at the front of the Flamingo where they have hot dealers and girls dancing. We chatted up the roulette delear a bit and met up with her later in the night (absolutely wasted though haha). That night we went to Pure in Caesars and it was a really nice club. At like 4am we headed to some casino that had beer pong in it and played some beer pong with the roulette dealer (never been worse at beer pong in my life). Another great night in Vegas.
Our final night we decided to be a little more low key and not hit up any real nightclubs. We did a bit of gambling and laid big on the Steelers to cover the 3 point spread against the Broncos. The Steelers won and we were jacked for that. Went over to Luxor again to watch the Carrot Top show, wow great show definitely recommend it! Of course after the show we got hammered and did a bit of gambling. This is when we got to meet up with Lenny, Nick and Chris from PAL for a bit (they arrived our last day, too bad we couldn’t have been there longer – but it was nice to put a face to a forum name for nick and chris). Some dealers from Flamingo were going out after their shift so we waited and headed out with them. Ended up being another great night, which equaled 30 minutes of sleep. Got a nice meal into us and headed back to Canada.
I will post some pictures when my buddy gets them uploaded and sent over. Vegas lived up to the hype and I will probably be heading back next spring or summer!

Sorry for the lack of posts here, it will be better in the future for sure. I have been so busy this week getting work done, school work and getting ready for VEGAS! I leave for Detroit tomorrow (Friday) afternoon and we are staying at a hotel near the airport there. Saturday morning our flight leaves and we will be arriving Saturday November 7th around 10am local time. I just turned 21 in September so this is my first time heading to Las Vegas and of course I am super pumped up for it.
I’ll be heading down with two buddies, and then meeting a couple other poker affiliates while were there. There were more guys planning on going, but a couple had to back out due to different reasons. Either way there is still a handful of us going down there around the same dates and should be fun to meet up with them. I got two free nights comped at the Flamingo because I gamble at the Windsor Harrah’s casino from time to time, so we are staying there. I think most of the other PAL members are at Flamingo too.
It will be good to get away from doing work for a couple days, and just party hard and have a great time. The only downside to going away is that I can’t keep up with posts my sports betting site which has some loyal visitors coming back to check on new posts for sports betting daily. Oh well, I def do not want to be sitting in my room in Vegas posting articles.
Does anybody have any club recommendations for Vegas? Any tips in general?
Pictures to come after the trip!

I wanted to make a quick blog post, as it has been a couple days. This past weekend was Thanksgiving in Canada and it happened to be the same weekend my favorite NFL team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, were in Detroit. Detroit and Buffalo are the two closest NFL teams from where I am in Canada (both about 2 hours). Me and some buddies made it down early Sunday morning to do some tailgating before the game. We got wasted at 10am and it was a great time – I’d say more than half of the fans there were Steelers fans. Here is a picture from after the game (I’m third from the left beside some random black guy we didn’t know haha)

The shitty thing about the weekend was on Monday I came down with the worst cold. I absolutely hate being sick and can’t wait for it to go away. Today will be a pretty slack day for me as I am not in the mood to to do any work. I will probably make a post on my Sports Betting News site and that is about it.
Another thing I wanted to bring up was that I am thinking of going to Las Vegas in November. A couple people brought up going to Vegas in mid November and since I recently turned 21 I have been dying to go. It turns out my roomates birthday is around the same time the other poker affiliates were talking about going. He was really interested so it may happen. Is anyone else going to be in Vegas around November 11-15th?
